Trauma

Experiences of trauma often become frozen in the body and the mind, and are often re-experienced in the present moment as if no time has passed at all. Working with a therapist who understands the ways trauma manifests itself in the body, the mind, and in daily life is essential for moving beyond the experiences that have traumatized us.

Trauma is an emotional or physical response to one or more physically/psychologically  harmful, or life threatening events or circumstances, with lasting adverse effects on your mental and physical well-being.

Trauma can be an event you've personally experienced, or witnessed.

Trauma can be a cumulative experience, or a one-off event that has left a lasting impact on your daily life.

Many of our practitioners are trained from a variety of different theoretical orientations to navigate complex traumatic situations, and the ways that they infiltrate a persons daily life.
