Mental Well-Being Starts with Mind and Body Integration. Awareness, Understanding, Compassion, and Connection with Our Self.
My Practice
In the intricate landscape of mental health, our brain and body play a pivotal role in shaping our internal and external experience. While our brain is capable of extraordinary things, it can also be the source of our most profound challenges. Intense emotions, intrusive thoughts, anxiety, depression, sense of self-worth, relationship challenges, and parenting difficulties often find their roots in the complex interplay of our brain and nervous system.

My journey began with a focus on infant and children's mental health. This experience equipped me with invaluable insights gained from working with children and families who had endured early trauma. Most significantly, I developed a deep understanding of the ways in which early life events shape the wiring of our brain and nervous system. It was this realization that led me to the field of neuropsychotherapy, delving into the connections between our brain, biology, and mental well-being.

In my practice, I adopt an integrated approach from the latest insights in neuroscience, attachment, and trauma-informed principles. I draw from a diverse range of therapeutic techniques, including cognitive-behavioural therapy, narrative therapy, family therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and mindfulness, to provide you with a comprehensive and individualized therapeutic plan.

Lasting results are achieved through small, incremental changes. I place a strong emphasis on the importance of patience and self-compassion throughout this process.
"Trauma is not just a story about the past; it affects how we live in the present. The body keeps the score, and healing involves reconnecting the mind and body."

Experience
With over a decade of experience, I am honoured to serve as a Psychotherapist, Consultant, and a Founder of The Collaborative in my hometown of Stratford, Ontario, where I reside with my husband and two children.

In addition to my work in Stratford, I continue to offer psychotherapy services at Third Space Consulting Inc. in London, Ontario, where I have practiced since 2016.

I entered the field of mental health in 2010 as a Child and Family Therapist at Vanier Children's Mental Wellness in London, Ontario. There, I passionately supported individuals and families for over 13 years.

In addition to my clinical work, I hold strong importance on the contribution of this knowledge to the growth and well-being of the community. I regularly consult with the community on matters related to infant, children, and parental mental health. I have also shared my insights through several publications, including articles like “The Relationship that Matters: Attachment Made Easy,” "Preparing Your Child for Failure," and "Building Strong Brains," all featured in The Mom and Caregiver Magazine.
"The mind is everything. What you think, you become."
